Sports media 'The Athletic' is rumored to be a potential domino phenomenon caused by Soto on the 3rd (Korea time) and many other rumors. Soto's impact will be deep and broad for almost all sectors of the market this year, it noted.
Outfielder Soto, who became an FA at the age of 26, is looking at the largest contract in Major League history.
The Athletic predicted $611 million (about 860 billion won) in 13 years and Major League Trade Rumors (MTR) expected $600 million (about 840 billion won) in 13 years.
The Athletic predicted that the movement of other outfielders will begin only once Soto's destination is decided.
The Athletic has five teams that are said to want 'Soto. The New York Yankees, the New York Mets, the Boston Red Sox, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Los Angeles Dodgers compete. 'The future course of Anthony Santander and Teoscar Hernandez, who finished ninth and 11th respectively in our chosen free agency TOP40, will be put on hold while Soto's negotiations are ongoing,' it said.
A chain reaction is expected as the team that missed Soto turns its sights elsewhere.
The Athletic said at least two of the teams participating in the Soto competition, for example the Yankees or Red Sox, have infielders in mind with Plan B.
The Athletic said 'Infield market, like the outfield, has an advantage for players as demand exceeds supply. Shortstop Willie Adames and third baseman Alex Bregman are in a very good position.

In other words, if teams that failed to recruit Soto turn their attention to infield sluggers, the ransom will increase as Adames or Bregman's competition intensifies, and Kim Ha-sung's relatively reasonable price could increase his popularity.
Kim Ha-sung was ranked 16th in the FA TOP40 by The Athletic. The Athletic set Kim Ha-sung's appropriate ransom at $36 million (about 50 billion won) for two years. MTR classified Kim Ha-sung as 43rd. It was estimated at 12 million dollars per year (about 17 billion won).
In addition to the Giants, expected destinations include the Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays and San Diego Padres.
