For the development of youth baseball and the expansion of the base of baseball, 200 elite baseball players, Little Baseball players, and 2024 Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Stadium students will participate in the Lee Seung-yeop Dream Baseball Camp, which is held annually by the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation.
In the '2024 Lee Seung-yeop Dream Baseball Camp', former and current baseball players, including Lee Seung-yeop, chairman of the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation, will directly guide youth players. Commentator Park Yong-taek (KBS N SPORTS), coach Jung Soo-sung (LG Twins), coach Bae Young-soo (SSG Landers), player Lee Ji-young (SSG Landers), player Park Byung-ho (Samsung Lions), player Jang Won-sam (former Lotte Giants), and commentator Cha Woo-chan (TVING) will participate as coaches.
In addition, coach Ryu Joong-il (Korean baseball team) will participate in the baseball camp coaching team by donating his talent to share the abundant experience and know-how he has accumulated so far to young players. Ryu Joong-il's participation is expected to add a great boost to the baseball camp by professional skill coaching and motivating young players who dream of becoming national team as well as professional baseball players.
Meanwhile, Chairman Lee Seung-yeop said, `I hope that the young players' experience in the professional stadium currently in use as well as technical improvements through the guidance of current and former professional players will be a great motivation. It will be difficult to learn a lot in a short time, but I hope the key learned in this camp will be the foundation for growing into a big player. I would like to thank the coaching staff and coach Ryu Joong-il for their time in a busy personal schedule after the competition and season. I would also like to thank sponsors and sponsors who support the youth baseball camp to be carried out in abundance," he said, expressing his feelings about the baseball camp being held.
The camp has a variety of programs, including technical coaching programs such as hitting, infield defense, outfield defense, and pitching, as well as home run distance races and base running for players' cooperation and unity. On the day of the camp, the outfield seats are open for free, allowing all participating players' guardians and team officials as well as ordinary citizens to watch the event in the outfield seats.
