Kim Jin-hyuk was crowned Daegu's `Internal Control No. 4' this winter. Daegu, which entered the playoff (PO) by ranking 11th in the regular league in this year's K League 1 and barely remained in the first division after beating Chungnam Asan, ranking 2nd in the K League 2, by a combined 6-5 in the first and second games, signed an extension contract with 『Ace" Cesinha and tall striker Edgar at the same time on the 10th immediately after the season, starting an internal crackdown. Cesinha, whose contract with Daegu was scheduled to end at the end of this year, vowed loyalty to Daegu with this renewal. Daegu then re-signed Jang Sung-won, an all-weather wingback who was 'hot sales' in the transfer market this winter and also played as a vice captain last season. This laid the foundation for the 2025 season's squad by catching four players, including 'Sedga' (Sesingya, Edgar) and Jang Sung-won Kim Jin-hyuk, who played a key role in staying last season.
On top of that, he re-introduced the "left-footed playmaker" Ramas, who played in Daegu for two years from 2021 to 2022. Ramas, who has played in Busan for the past two and a half seasons, has thus established a 'Brazil hometown association' with Cesinha and Edgar. Basselus left for Tokushima Bortis in the J2 League. Daegu, which is preparing for the 2025 season under coach Park Chang-hyun, is also reportedly set to recruit proven wingbacks, promising midfielders and strikers. Coach Park said, `I will prepare for more dynamic soccer. I want to play against Gangwon, Gwangju, Pohang, etc. as a team, not an individual." Daegu will hold winter training in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, Thailand from January 5 next year.
