Daejeon was selected as an excellent professional sports team at the 20th Korea Sports Industry Awards ceremony held at the Seoul Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 13th and received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Korea Sports Industry Awards, which mark its 20th anniversary this year, is a place to revitalize the sports industry by discovering and awarding outstanding companies, organizations, local organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the development of the sports industry by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Daejeon was highly praised for its differentiated marketing, such as strengthening communication with local people and creating a fan-friendly stadium, such as a soccer tournament for hobbyists, a women's futsal tournament, and a festival promotion booth for local people.
Director Kim Won-taek, who participated in the awards ceremony, said "It is an honor to be selected as an excellent professional sports team, and we will continue to carry out various marketing activities for local residents and fans."," he said in his acceptance speech.
