Davidson is on a multi-year contract. Why is Rojas on a one-year contract?

KT Wiz continues to accompany Rojas 'Return MVP'.
KT officially announced on the 3rd that it signed a contract for the 2025 season with foreign hitter Rojas for a total of $1.8 million.
KT treated Rojas, who was the first MVP of the franchise and returned this year and played a great role as a 'League Bomber', with a huge amount of money. He played in 144 games with a batting average of 32 homers and 112 RBIs. Re-signing was a natural step.
But I have a question here. Why didn't Rojas sign a multi-year contract like NC Dinos Davidson.

In the KBO League, multi-year contracts with foreign players who sign contracts are legal.
Prior to Rojas, Davison agreed to a 1+1 year, official multi-year contract with NC. The two-year total is $3.2 million. A $1.7 million contract for the 2026 season could continue as a team option for $1.5 million for the 2025 season. NC made sure to honor 'Homer King' who hit 46 home runs this season.
Rojas is enough to require a multi-year contract. Good grades, hard work, and good relationships with team members are flawless. Based on this year's performance, it seems very likely to maintain the current performance for the next two to three years. KT was also able to fully consider a multi-year contract because finding high-quality foreign players was 'picking stars in the sky'.
However, KT announced a $1.8 million one-year contract. A KT official said, `There is enough faith between Rojas and the club. Even if it was not set as a multi-year contract, he did not push for a multi-year contract because there was mutual trust that Rojas would be able to be together in the next season if he played a certain role", he explained.

Davison's case is also officially a multi-year contract, but the club has an additional one-year option, not a two-year guarantee, so Davison should do his best as he did this year next season.
