FC Mobile Demonstrates Potential to Promote Korean National Team by Hosting KeSPA Cup

Co-hosted and organized by the Korea e-Sports Association and EA, the 「FC Professional Festival KeSPA Cup" ended with Thailand's final victory on the 22nd, selling out all seats.
The competition, which was held following the '2024 LoL KeSPA Cup' held from November 30 to 8, was also designated as a national team selection index review competition, and the competition data will be used to select national players. As a result, it is possible to actively cope with the gradually expanding national competition and contribute to the selection of fair national teams, and the event 'FC Mobile' was designated as a new national team promotion event this year.
In the KeSPA Cup, Cho Hwan-joon, who was selected through the Korean national selection contest involving the top winners of the EA Global Competition 'FC Pro Masters' held in April, participated in the EA Global Competition 'SODA'Hong Ji-hong 'JOSCAR'. In addition, representative players selected from six countries in China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Jordan teamed up with two players from each country and played in a two-to-two multi-player match.
As a result of the group stage held on the 21st, Japan ranked first in Group A, followed by Thailand and Jordan. In Group B, South Korea ranked first in the group with three wins and one draw, while Indonesia and China ranked second and third, respectively.
The match on the 22nd was held in hot heat with all the seats sold out. Thailand, which trailed 1-2 against Japan in the final, tied the game 2–2, then came from behind to secure the championship with a golden goal. Thailand, which won the championship 3-2, received a $2,000 prize along with a trophy.
Starting with this KeSPA Cup, the association plans to strategically foster 'FC Mobile' to strengthen the acceptability and competitiveness of the Korean e-sports national team. He also stressed that the KeSPA Cup and FC Pro Festival competitions will be linked to expand next year's competitions and promote various plans to foster a wide range of athletes and revitalize sports.
