Oh Ji-hwan graduated from Gunsan Elementary School, Jayang Middle School, and Gyeonggi High School, joined LG in 2009 as the first nomination and grew into a leading shortstop. He is the league's top player with a total of 1,858 KBO games, a batting average of 0.265 with 164 home runs and 866 RBIs. He also won the Golden Glove in shortstop for the second consecutive year in 2022 and 2023. Students from the baseball team at Hakdong Elementary School got a dream-like opportunity to learn baseball directly from shortstop representing the league as well as LG.
Oh Ji-hwan also visited Hakdong Elementary School last year and had a meaningful time. Thanks to the good memories, I wanted to cheer for you again this year. I want students to enjoy baseball through donation items" he said.
Oh also said, `It was a meaningful time for me to help develop my dream with this visit. I think I need a sense of cooperation and teamwork from a young age. It is important to be considerate of each other and have fun playing baseball. I hope I get along well with my friends and that my children will continue to like baseball, and I hope it will help me develop my dreams."
Moon Bo-kyung, who participated in this talent donation, said "I feel rewarded with the way the students are enjoying themselves. I was also able to grow thanks to the advice and training of many seniors. I'm happy to share my experience, and I hope it will be an opportunity for children to develop their affection for baseball and move toward their dreams," he said, cheering on the students' dreams.
