At the donation signing ceremony held at the president's office of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Lee Moon-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul on the 19th, Chairman Kwon praised the 200 million won power generation fund with Park Jung-woon, vice president of Seoul Campus, Kim Chun-sik, vice president of finance and foreign affairs, Kim Min-jung, and Hong Sung-min, director of external cooperation.
Of the 200 million won in the power generation fund, 150 million won will be used to introduce the latest educational equipment and improve old facilities to improve the educational environment of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and 50 million won will be used as living support scholarships paid to four students every year. In order to honor Kwon's intention to share with his younger students, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has decided to make and donate a copper plate of Kwon on the first floor of the university headquarters 'Hall of Fame'. Chairman Kwon said, `It is my natural responsibility as a senior in life to return the benefits of society to future generations,' adding, `I hope this donation will serve as the foundation for the healthy growth of our society" reported the wind.
Chairman Kwon, who has always practiced good influence and sharing as the CEO of HD Hyundai and the head of the professional soccer K League, launched the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation in 2011 for the first time in a large company, and recently established the HD Hyundai Hope Foundation to support the bereaved families of the shipyard's victims by contributing private property.
