For many foreign players, the KBO League is being used as a time to make a leap forward into the major league stage. If it's the same price, they prefer Major League Baseball.
However, Austin Dean (31, LG Twins) is different. Last year, he signed with the LG Twins and took the KBO League stage. In 139 games, he recorded a batting average of 313, 23 home runs, 95 RBIs, and 0.893 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS), resulting in LG's first combined win in 29 years.
Austin, who succeeded in renewing his contract, came out with a bat that got even scarier. He played in 140 games and posted a batting average of 319, 32 home runs, 132 RBIs, and an OPS of 0.957. The 132 RBIs are the most in the KBO League.
It wasn't all about skill. It perfectly melted with the team members and acquired a unique culture as well as a person born in Korea.
Austin held the golden glove for the second year in a row. 193 votes (67%) out of 288 valid votes were swept. He was recognized for his clutch performance, beating NC Dinos Matt Davidson (28.8%), who hit 46 home runs and became the home run king.

Austin's steps were not in vain. The first baseman was named the Golden Glove winner, and Austin took the podium and expressed his joy by exclaiming 'Wow'.

I also applauded my rival Davison. He said "Davidson is a good player. I'm grateful to be able to compete like this. Davison said, "A really good player who can't be questioned no matter what he wins."
He finished the season by winning last year, but failed to make the Korean Series stage this season. Austin, who renewed his contract with LG for a total of $1.7 million, expressed his intention to stay with LG until the end of its victory journey.
As both his ability and adaptability were proven, he could have challenged the major league stage if he had his heart, but only LG Twins was in his heart. He "I think I'll win next year. I want to finish my career at LG. I want to play hard and remain an LG player until I break my leg"He declared himself 'Jongshin LG".
