Inje Speedium Signs Business Agreement To Revitalize Electric Vehicle Battery Industry

Inje Speedium, one of Korea's leading auto racecourses, has decided to join forces with related industry officials and local governments to revitalize the electric vehicle battery industry in Inje-gun.

Inje Speedium announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement with Inje-gun, Hongjin Entech, and the Korea Institute of Construction and Living Environment Test (KCL) to revitalize the electric vehicle battery industry in Inje-gun at the small conference room of Inje-gun County Office.

With the recent increase in demand for electric vehicles worldwide, the efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicle batteries are becoming more emphasized. In this environment, the electric vehicle battery industry is expected to have a very high potential for future market development through various technological advances. The agreement was designed to cooperate with companies specializing in manufacturing electric vehicle chargers in Inje-gun to revitalize electric vehicle battery-related businesses in the region. Under the agreement, Inje Speedium plans to serve as a test bed for the electric vehicle industry in the future as a demonstration and test space for electric vehicle batteries' ultra-fast charging devices.

Inje-gun will strive to cultivate professionals, support education, and discover new businesses related to electric vehicle batteries, as well as administrative and financial support to revitalize related industries, while Hongjin Entech, an electric vehicle charger manufacturer, will focus on hiring local residents and fostering local talent using research infrastructure. KCL will conduct test evaluation and national research projects in the electric vehicle battery pack field together, and support test and evaluation equipment in the mobility field.

"The trend of the times is that the racecourse should serve as a bridge between entertainment, the automobile industry, culture, and related healthy consumption beyond the motor sports industry," said Lee Seung-woo, CEO of Inje Speedium. "We will actively welcome the increase in the number of facilities and companies that study and agonize together near the racecourse and make efforts to create synergy together."
