Kim Seung-woo was elected as the new head after beating current chairman Yoo Seung-an in the 7th Korea Little Baseball Federation presidential election held at Hwaseong Dream Park on the 18th. Kim received 86 votes out of 153 electors, ahead of Yoo Seung-an, who received 61 votes.
There was an obvious weakness of not being a baseball player. However, Chairman Kim Seung-woo touched the hearts of voters with his well-known face and pledges that made the most of his strengths, including the introduction of the "Little Baseball ABS" and expansion of sponsorship.
The chairman of the Little Baseball Federation is Kim Seung-woo's first public position. He has been a player and owner of the celebrity baseball team 'Playboy' for 20 years since 2005. Even though it is a social baseball team, it is a rare hustle player, such as using a wooden bat instead of an aluminum bat and getting on the operating table due to a broken finger ligament during a base run. He is also a sports expert who earned a master's degree in sports management from Suwon University.
Prior to the election, he threw his hat in the ring focusing on the `New Leap in Little Baseball.' "Little baseball is a valuable asset in Korean baseball. I felt the importance more desperately than anyone else."
His ambition is to pursue marketing that makes full use of his fame while reflecting on his affection for baseball through experience such as signing a sponsorship contract with Mizuno when he was a Playboy and playing a friendly game with Myeongguhoe (Japan professional baseball OB team).

"Little baseball is a more valuable and valuable stage than professional baseball." I want to let our children experience the possibility of Korean baseballWill Kim Seung-woo's wish come true.
Chairman Kim Seung-woo's term will be four years from 2025. Immediately after his election, he said, `I will do my best to instill pride in young players who are the cornerstone and future of Korean baseball and to increase the international competitiveness of Korean baseball in the future" expressed his feelings.
