Rodrigo Bentancourt is back after being punished for racism. Coach Enze Postecoglou expressed his joy without caring about Son Heung-min.

England's Football London reported on Postecoglou's pre-press conference against Nottingham Forest on the 25th (Korea time). Tottenham is set to play Nottingham Forest in the 18th round of the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2024-2025 season at the City Ground in Nottingham, England, on the 27th.

Postecoglou attended the press conference and directly mentioned the available players. He added "Bentancourt, who has been disciplined, is available. Destiny Udogi also said, "I don't think I'll have a problem playing in the next game." And Postecoglou added "It's nice to have Bentancourt back. I'm training hard. I have a player I need on Boxing Day. I hope Bentancur's return will be of great help.'

Bentancourt was disciplined through the English Football Association (FA) in November. The FA announced the disciplinary action on its official website 'Independent Regulatory Commission suspended Rodrigo Bentancur for seven games and fined him £100,000 (W176.5 million) for violating FA Regulation E3 in connection with media interviews'

Bentancur was indicted and disciplined because of racist remarks in June. It was not what some fans did, but it turned into a huge problem because Tottenham's teammate was direct racism against captain Son Heung-min. The beginning was an interview conducted by Bentancur with his country's Uruguayan media. When an interviewer asked to save Son's uniform, Bentancourt said, "What about his cousin's uniform. Son Heung-min and his cousin look exactly the same," he replied with a racist remark.

The FA had no intention of sitting idly by in this case. In September, the FA indicted Bentancur on charges of violating FA regulations for cheating related to media interviews such as racism, conducted an investigation for disciplinary action, and issued a seven-game disciplinary action.

However, Tottenham had no intention of accepting the disciplinary decision. Tottenham seems to be dissatisfied with Bentancourt's level of disciplinary action, even though captain Son Heung-min has been racist. It even went ahead with an appeal. The British Telegraph reportedly said, `Tottenham was shocked by the seven-game suspension decision made by the English Football Association (FA) over its racist remarks against Son Heung-min.' `It was reported that several clubs were surprised by the duration and process of the disciplinary action Bentancourt received and recognized that it was different from the punishment given to other players for racist behavior. Tottenham and Bentancourt were examples, and I believe that the player's apology and Son Heung-min's support were also used unfavorably,' he said.

Then 'Tottenham has the right to appeal the ruling and is considering this step. The club has yet to comment on the disciplinary action, but it is thought there is a sense of embarrassment and frustration about it,' he said, explaining that Tottenham were perplexed by Bentancourt's punishment and were even considering an appeal. However, Tottenham's appeal was not accepted and Bentancur had to be suspended for seven games.

Tottenham's decision to appeal was sufficient for fans to feel disappointed at the time, with Bentancourt's attitude and the truthfulness of his apology being questioned. Tottenham disappointed fans by keeping silent until Son Heung-min's apology came out in June when racism occurred. He closed his mouth despite his colleague's disrespect for the captain's ten-year commitment to the club. At that time, there was criticism that it was an act of deceiving fans by stopping uploading only to Tottenham's Korean SNS account, which was the most angry among fans, and Tottenham accounts in other countries continued to post news. Afterwards, it was only after Son Heung-min's apology came out that he finally opened the door.

The situation did not end even though Son Heung-min forgave, and Bentancourt himself had a chance to look back on his actions. However, in this situation, if Tottenham appealed with embarrassment and frustration over the disciplinary action, it could only end up defending and defending Bentancur's actions. It was hard to say that it was polite to Son Heung-min. Against this backdrop, Postecoglou's aggressive comments of support for his return are not easy to see as a consideration for Son Heung-min.

Bentancourt returns to the ground. It seems clear that more attention will be paid to his attitude and behavior.
