K League 2 Cheonan Team Deliver 10 Million Won Scholarship to Local Dreamers

The Cheonan City FC squad of K League 2 delivered scholarships to promising local soccer players.

The scholarship delivery ceremony was held at the Cheonan club secretariat on the 20th. The team delivered a scholarship of 10 million won to aspiring players, which was raised with the intention of contributing to the local community.

The scholarship recipients were selected as excellent players recommended by the principal, and 19 players from Seonggeo Elementary School and Cheonan Elementary School received scholarships. The event was held on this day with head coach Kim Tae-wan, Lee Kwang-jin, 19 dream tree players and leaders of each school. Following the delivery of the scholarship, we had a question-and-answer session with Lee Kwang-jin through the mentoring program.

Coach Kim Tae-wan said, `It's the future of Korean soccer, so I hope I can overcome adversity. I'll always cheer for you." Lee Kwang-jin, who attended as a representative of the team, cheered "I met the dream tree players through a good opportunity, and I hope they will become players who try not to rush with healthy thoughts."

Sung Geo-cho's Han Do-yoon, who received the scholarship on this day, said "I won't forget it by receiving scholarships from Cheonan City FC's players, and conversations with Lee Kwang-jin helped a lot." I will try to grow into a good player even when I go to middle school in the future."

Cheonan plans to continue its efforts to take a step closer to the region to repay the love of Cheonan citizens.
