KBO will hold the '2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO Golden Glove Awards' at the COEX Auditorium in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 13th.
KIA Choi Hyung-woo was nominated for designated hitter category. It competes with strong batters such as Doosan's Kim Jae-hwan and KT's Kang Baek-ho.
Choi Hyung-woo was born on December 16, 1983. If Choi Hyung-woo wins the Golden Glove, he will be 40 years, 11 months, and 27 days as of the 13th.
Currently, retired Lee Dae-ho holds the oldest record.
Lee Dae-ho won the Golden Glove in 2022 for his performance of '40 years, 5 months, and 18 days'.
The runner-up is Lee Seung-yeop in 2015. He received the Golden Glove at 39 years, 3 months, and 20 days. In third place is Lee Byung-kyu, who won the Golden Glove at the age of 39 years, 1 month, and 15 days in 2013.
Choi Hyung-woo received the Golden Glove in 2020 at 36 years, 11 months, and 25 days, ranking fifth in this category. It is interesting to note that all of the oldest 1st to 5th are designated hitters.
At the same time, Choi Hyung-woo is aiming for the Golden Glove in the seventh inning of his career. Choi Hyung-woo received the Golden Glove in the first inning (2020) as a designated hitter in the fifth inning (2011 2013 2014 2016 2017) as an outfielder. If he succeeds in winning the seventh prize, he will be on par with Kim Dong-soo, Lee Byung-kyu and Lee Dae-ho.
The biggest winner in his career is current Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop. Coach Lee Seung-yeop won the Golden Glove 10 times when he was active.

However, Choi has a fearsome 'Winning Premium'.
