GS Caltex coach Lee Young-taek came into the interview room with a red face after losing 11 consecutive games. Once I was asked if something didn't work out, I had to catch my breath once before I could continue to answer. There may be some aftermath of not being able to break the long losing streak, but it seems that he expressed his frustration that the game did not work out properly.
GS Caltex lost a set score of 1-3 (16-25, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25) in the third round match against IBK Industrial Bank of Korea in the women's team of Dodram 2024-2025 V-League at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 18th. GS Caltex, the lowest-ranked player in the season, had only one win, 14 losses and six points.
It was a game in which there was no path to attack other than the main gun, Giselle Silva. Silva showed his strength to score 47 points purely through offense without blocking and scoring serve. GS Caltex's only second set was the result of scoring 16 points alone.
The performance of domestic strikers was disastrous. Outside heater Kim Mi-yeon, who was acquired in a trade with Heungkuk Life Insurance on the 12th, tilted her head as she scored five points and had a 15.38% attack success rate. After the game, coach Lee said "I don't think we started well in the first set, and the players who went in as a substitute did a good job, so I think we definitely didn't have enough to see it fall at the end."
