Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will clash in the round of 16 of the DFB Pokal Cup at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on the 4th (Korea time).
Kim Min-jae is still expected to be the main center back.
One Football, a soccer media outlet, said on the 3rd 'Bayern Munich will play without its flagship striker Harry Kane for the first time this season. Kane suffered a hamstring injury against Dortmund. Significant changes in the attack force are expected. However, the defense is still unchanged. Kim Min-jae and Dayo Upamecano will play the center back duo' reports.
The media reported that `Kongfani is likely to put Thomas Mueller in place of Kane. However, putting Matistel, Kingsley Coman, Michael Olise and Leroy Sane can make two changes to their attacking positions. However, nothing will change in terms of defense.
Bayern Munich's predicted line-up was Manuel Neuer as goalkeeper and Konrad Lammer, Upamecano, Kim Min-jae and Alfonso Davies as four-backs. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will be in the third term, while Mullen, Comang, Jamal Musiala and Olise will be in the first and second terms.
It's a Pokal Cup, not a league game, but of course the importance of the game is there. It's the round of 16.
Moreover, the opponent is Leverkusen, the undefeated champion of last season. The opponent is not easy.
It is natural to select and hire Kim Min-jae. However, Kim Min-jae is not in good shape. He suffered a torn right eye in the 35th minute of the second half in an away game against Dortmund in the 12th round of the Bundesliga. It was a wound he suffered during a ball competition with opposing striker Serge Girasi.
Kim Min-jae has a minor ankle injury as well as an eye injury. Injuries that were injured last October have not been cured and continue to accumulate. I'm not 100% in condition.
Kongpani has strong confidence in him. Kim Min-jae, who received absolute support from manager Thomas Tuchel last season, suffered from being pushed to the bench in the second half. Of course, from Kim Min-jae's point of view, he does not want to miss director Kongpani's absolute trust.
