South Korea and Japan's women's basketball star will clash on the court. The Korean Women's Basketball Federation (WKBL) will host the 「Hana Bank 2024-2025 Women's Professional Basketball All-Star Festival」 at Bucheon Gymnasium on the 22nd. The All-Star Game will be held in Bucheon for the first time in 12 years since the 2011-2012 season.

A special game will be held. The All-Star Game will be played as a match between the WKBL and the All-Star representing the Japanese W League. All of the women's basketball star players representing the Korean and Japanese leagues will participate. A WKBL official said, `We promoted a new All-Star Game method with the aim of strengthening exchanges between the Korean and Japanese leagues.'

In the WKBL, there are Kim Dan-bi (Asan Woori Bank) who ranks 2nd to 5th in Jihyun Shin (Incheon Shinhan Bank), Park Hye-jin (Busan BNK), Jinan (Bucheon Hana Bank) and Kang Yi-seul (Cheongju KB Stars). Park Jung-eun is led by BNK coach. Woori Bank coach Wi Sung-woo and Samsung Life Insurance coach Ha Sang-yoon will join the coaching staff.

In Japan, a total of 16 players will participate, with two each from eight teams belonging to the W League Premier (first division). A large number of national teams for the 2024 Paris Olympics, including Louis Machida (Fujitsu), Himawari Akaho (Denso), Nanako Dodo (Toyota Boshoku), and Saori Miyazaki (Eneos), were named. Hira Shita Aika (Toyota), a silver medalist at the Hangzhou Asian Games, and Moeko Nagaoka (Eneos), a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, will also join. Denso Vladimir Vuksanovic will take the helm.

Kim Dan-bi and Jihyun Shin handpicked the list of Korean All-Star Game's Best 5 starting lineup, 3-point shooting contest and skill challenge. The first to fifth place in fan voting will be selected. The final round of the three-point shoot contest will be held as a team match between Korea and Japan. A total of 12 people will participate in the preliminary round. Six Korean All-Stars, including Kang Yi-seul and Kiana Smith (Samsung Life Insurance), and six Japanese All-Stars will participate. Six players from each team will clash in the final, with the top three players from each team. Three players will become a team and throw a total of 27 shots, including five zones within 70 seconds of the time limit and two new 'Dipsrizone' to determine victory or defeat. A new skill challenge was also introduced. Six players, three from each of the two countries' All Stars, will participate. In addition to Jihyun Shin, Heo Ye-eun (KB Stars) and Lee Myung-kwan (Woori Bank) will represent Korea. The skill challenge will also be held as a team match. The winning team will be determined by adding up the records of each player.
