Gangwon FC of the K League 1 announced on the 13th that it has fully recruited Lee Yoo-hyun (27), who played as a rental player this season.

Lee Yoo-hyun, who wore a Gangwon uniform on loan from Jeonbuk Hyundai this year, changed his position from a side defender to a central midfielder and performed better than expected based on his active activity. He played in 25 K League 12 games (1 assist) this season, helping Gangwon rank second, the highest ever. Gangwon fans call Lee Yoo-hyun 'Gangtuso' (Gangwon's Gattuso), likening him to legend Jennaro Gattuso, a former member of the Italian national team.

Lee Yoo-hyun, a former member of the Jeonnam Dragons Youth, made his professional debut in K League 1 (division 1) in 2017 as a member of Jeonnam. In 2018, he played in 28 K League games. Even after Jeonnam was demoted to the K League 2 (division 2), he consistently played in the league, including 22 games in 2019 and 20 games in 2020. After moving to Jeonbuk in 2021 and returning to the K League 1 stage, he recorded two assists in 13 regular league games. Lee Yoo-hyun, who played for Gimcheon Sangmu for two years from 2022, is eventually exploding his potential in Gangwon this season.
