Mislav Orsic (32), who played in South Jeolla Province and Ulsan in the past, has terminated his contract with his team Trabzonspor.
Turkiye club Trabzonspor said on the 21st (local time) 'Club and Orsic's contract was terminated by mutual agreement. No penalty will be paid to the player under the contract,' the release said. The previous contract was due June 30 next year.
The club did not reveal the reason for the termination of the contract, but it can be inferred to some extent by looking back on the path it has taken since the opening of the 2024-2025 season. He consistently started at the beginning of the season, but he missed eight consecutive games starting with the 9th round match against Vashakshehir until the 16th match against Galatasaray. It was excluded from the plan of coach Senol Günesch, who took the helm of the team in September, and eventually ended the contract early.

Croatian winger Orsic joined Jeonnam in 2015 and formed a relationship with the K League. He scored nine goals in the 2015 season under the registration name 'Orsha'. Orsic, who left for Changchun Yatai in China in 2016 and returned to the K-League in 2017 after joining Ulsan, took the opportunity to return to 'Europe' with his explosive speed and undulating performance for two seasons.
Orsic's career, which joined Croatia's most prestigious Dinamo Zagreb in 2018, has been a major rebound. He was selected for the Croatian senior team for the first time in 2019 and has played 27 A matches (two goals) so far. They enjoyed major tournaments such as Euro 2020 held in 2021 and Qatar World Cup 2022. He scored a goal in the Euro 2020 match against Spain and the 2022 World Cup against Morocco.
Orsic left Dynamo Zagreb in January 2023 and joined Southampton in the English Premier League for a fee of £8 million. However, Orsic, who failed to adapt and played only one EPL game, joined Travjonspor in the summer of 2023 and tried to make a comeback, but suffered an unexpected cruciate ligament injury. He played in 10 games in one and a half seasons for Trabzonspor.
