KIA Tigers have recruited a new foreign pitcher.

Kia signed a contract with foreign pitcher Adam Oller (Wutuuta, born in 1994) for a total of 1 million dollars, including a down payment of 200,000 dollars, an annual salary of 600,000 dollars and an option of 200,000 dollars.

Adam Oler, a native of Conlow, Texas, U.S., is a right-handed pitcher with a physique of 193 centimeters and a weight of 102 kilograms, and has played in the major leagues for three seasons and four seasons in the minor leagues (hereinafter referred to as Triple-A).

In the Major League, he played in 36 games (23 starts) and recorded a 5.54 ERA with 5 wins, 13 losses and 1 hold, and in the Minor League, he played in 57 games (45 starts) with a 5.01 ERA with 21 wins, 9 losses and 2 holds. This season, he started eight games with the Miami Marlins, recording a 2-4 record with a 5.31 ERA, and a 4-1 record with a 5.30 ERA in 18 games (9 starts) in the minor leagues.

Oler is a player who stands out for his strikeout ability based on powerful fastballs of 150 kilometers per hour and wide-angle breaking balls.

An official from Kia said, `Adam Oler was hired with the expectation that he would play a one-two punch role as a starting pitcher along with James Nail. As he started all major league games this season, he has a lot of experience in starting. He will be a pillar of the starting rotation for next season and we expect it to be a great addition to the team."
