Jeju announced on the 24th that it signed a two-year contract with Jung-woon. As a result, Jung-woon will wear a Jeju uniform until 2026. Through this renewal, Jung-woon will be able to lay the groundwork for completing his career in Jeju.
Jungwoon is Jeju's 'Living Legend'. He has been active since he wore the Jeju uniform in 2016. After playing in the Croatian league, he joined Jeju and fulfilling his military service obligations, he has continued to be an axis of the team squad. He started in the 18th round home game against Ulsan on June 23 and became the highest-ranking Jeju player to play in 200 league games (176 K-League 1 games and 24 K-League 2 games), and has played in 13 more games since then, exceeding Lee Chang-min (204 games, while serving in the military) as the most active Jeju player. It is also slowly approaching the stronghold of the No. 1 player in the club's all-time record (274 games in Kim Ki-dong), which has continued since the days of the meritorious elephant.
Jung-woon's presence is not limited to records. He showed his multi-ability to play not only full-back but also central defender, and his elaborate left-footed kick, which fits the nickname of Uncheuk Courier, is still powerful.

Above all, the reason why he shines more is the spirit of 'fan first'fan first' thinking of fans first.
Even though he is a veteran, Jung-woon is famous for taking the initiative and voluntarily participating in club events and promotional-video for fans. I don't hesitate to open my own pockets for fans either. He even offered to the club himself to hold a fan love return event to remember his 200 appearances with his fans in the home game against Incheon on June 26. At that time, Jung-woon presented 1,000 copies of the 'Self-Signed Uniforms' and 'Players' Cheering Towel' for his fans. On top of that, an additional 200 game special patch was also presented for fans who marked Jungwoon or Jungwoon on the purchase uniform on the day of the game. All expenses were borne by the player himself.
Jung-woon "Next year, we will be celebrating our 10th year of living in Jeju." Now Jeju Island is like another hometown of mine." "(Lee) Chang-min left the team for a while to serve in the military, making me the longest-running player in Jeju among the current squad," he said, adding, "(So) I think I was more responsible and did my best every moment." He also says that time seems to flow backwards around him. "There are still many fans who can demonstrate my capabilities to the best of my ability." "This renewal was also possible because of the fans' support." I'm always grateful. I didn't forget to thank my fans.
