KIA announced on the 26th that it has confirmed its coaching staff position to lead the 2025 season.
The first team consists of head coach Son Seung-rak, head coach Kim Joo-chan QC, pitcher coach Jung Jae-hoon and Lee Dong-gul, hitting coach Hong Se-wan and Cho Seung-beom, operation coach Cho Jae-young, running coach Yoon Hae-jin, defense coach Kim Min-woo, and battery coach Takeshi.
The Futures team will be led by coach Jin Gap-yong, pitching coach Lee Sang-hwa and Lee Jung-ho, batting coach Choi Hee-seop, operation Lee Hyun-gon, baserunning coach, defense coach Park Ki-nam, and battery coach Lee Hae-chang. In addition, the remaining forces were composed of general coach Kim Seok-yeon, pitcher coach Seo Deok-won, and defensive coach Park Hyo-il.
An official from KIA said, `Thanks to the coaching staff's good guidance of the players for each part, we were able to achieve the unified championship"I look forward to leading the team well in the 2025 season as well."
KIA had a busy winter after winning the combined championship this year. While the existing foreign pitcher James Nail was re-signed for a total of $1.8 million, he signed pitcher Adam Oler and batter Patrick Wisdom for $1 million each to complete the formation of foreign players.
Korean players have almost finished strengthening their capacities. It cracked down on internal FA Lim Ki-young for three years and 1.5 billion won, and Jang Hyun-sik, who transferred to the LG Twins as an FA, filled the vacancy with Cho Sang-woo, who was acquired through trade. KIA minimized the outflow of power by recruiting closer Cho Sang-woo at the risk of losing 1 billion won in cash to Kiwoom Heroes and the first and fourth rounds of rookies in 2025. There is only one final negotiation left with internal FA infielder Seo Geon-chang.
KIA, which has already reorganized its coaching staff, now needs to complete its agreement with the salary negotiators.
