A new head has been born to lead the future of college football in Korea. Park Han-dong, CEO of Moez Korea.

The Korea University Football Federation held the election of the 13th president of the Korea University Football Federation at the Shinmun-ro Football Center in Seoul on the 20th. As a result, Park Han-dong, CEO of Moez Korea, received 37 out of 72 votes, beating Byun Seok-hwa, current president of the University Football Federation, by only two votes.

President-elect Park challenged for the first time as chairman. He played in Myeongji, Pohang Steelers, and Korail Korea. In September 1994, he participated in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Youth Championship. Since retiring as an active player due to injury in 2002, he has been running a business bond.




"I don't think much has changed compared to when I was a college football player," Park said through Sports Chosun earlier. Rather, star players came out through universities such as Ahn Jung-hwan (retired). There needs to be a change. In order for college football to survive, it now needs a professional mind. We will boldly innovate and communicate happily."

Meanwhile, Chairman Byun, who has led college football for the past 22 years, will step down after serving his sixth term. He formed a relationship with the University Federation in 2000 as a sponsor of supplies. In 2002, he replaced Chairman Yoo Byung-jin to lead the university federation. He won consecutive terms in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2017, and 2020. In 2008, Lee Yong-soo, then a physical education professor at Sejong University, won a primary and continued his position as chairman.
