Gangwon announced on the 12th that it has renewed its contract with Kim Dae-woo. Gangwon added depth to the midfield by re-signing versatile midfielder Kim Dae-woo. Kim Dae-woo, who joined as a rookie in 2021, will mark his fifth season in Gangwon.
Kim Dae-woo said, `I'm happy to be with my first professional team for a long time. It's an honor to renew the contract, and I'll improve further. "My goal is to show my fans a good performance without getting injured. I want to play soccer happily in Gangwon Province", he expressed his feelings.
Kim Dae-woo wore Gangwon's Orange jersey back in 2021. As soon as he joined the team, he engraved his presence on the ground. He played in 21 league games and scored two goals and one assist. He also played in both games in the promotion and playoffs, contributing to his stay.
This season, Kim Dae-woo proved his worth. Until the 19th round, he played 13 games (one goal and two assists) and was reborn as a mainstay, but his injury has hampered him. Kim Dae-woo, who devoted himself to rehabilitation, played as a substitute in the final game of the season and helped him win.
Kim Dae-woo has grown to a new level this year. It led Gangwon's rise in the early and mid-season, raising fans' expectations. He left the ground for about five months due to injury, but he announced his good health in his return match. Kim Dae-woo, who has swallowed tears of regret due to injury, is already looking toward the 2025 season.
