Gangwon Jung Kyung-ho's No. 1 official is 'Kim Dae-woo's renewal of contract'I want to play happy soccer in Gangwon''

The newly launched Gangwon Jung Kyung-ho succeeded in cracking down on the inside.

Gangwon announced on the 12th that it has renewed its contract with midfielder Kim Dae-woo (24).

The club added depth to the midfield by renewing the contract with versatile midfielder Kim Dae-woo. Kim Dae-woo, who joined as a rookie in 2021, will mark his fifth season in Gangwon Province.

Kim Dae-woo said, `I'm happy to be with my first professional team for a long time. It's an honor to renew the contract, and I'll improve further. "My goal is to show my fans a good performance without getting injured. I want to play soccer happily in Gangwon Province", he expressed his feelings about renewing the contract.

Kim Dae-woo wore a Gangwon uniform in 2021 and took the lead in remaining in the first part through the promotion and playoffs in his first season. Until he was out for five months due to injury during this season, he went back and forth between starting and replacing, contributing to the team's best-ever runner-up.

Meanwhile, Gangwon internally promoted head coach Chung Kyung-ho to head coach after negotiations on re-signing Yoon Jeong-hwan, who led Donghwa in Gangwon Province, failed last month.

Chung's renewal of contract with Kim Dae-woo can be seen as an indication of his intention to use it as his main focus next season.
