On the 29th, Pohang announced the renewal of its contract with Kim In-sung, the winner of the Korea Cup final goal. Kim In-sung still boasts speed despite his veteran's age, living up to his nickname 'Speed Racer'. Through this renewal, Kim In-sung will once again be responsible for Pohang's side speed.
Kim In-sung played most of the games after nesting in Pohang in 2023. This year, he played in 28 league games, the Korea Cup, and the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE).
The focus was on the Korea Cup final. He scored the winning goal with a header in the 7th minute of the second half of extra time against Ulsan HD and presented Pohang with the trophy. Kim In-sung was honored as the MVP of the tournament.
"I had a lot of worries, but the coach gave me faith, and I learned a lot from the coach this year, so I wanted to do it next year as well," he said. "A lot of fans came to the neutral stadium during the Korea Cup final, and I felt a lot of pressure, so I wanted to continue playing soccer in such a team. Next year is my third year in Pohang, and I want to win the trophy for 3 consecutive years"I am determined.
