 Lim Kiyoung is finally here! KIA Caught It, Total of KRW 1.5 Billion Remaining for 3 Years

KIA Tigers signed an FA contract with pitcher Lim Ki-young.

KIA officially announced on the 21st that it signed a three-year contract with Lim Ki-young for a total of 1.5 billion won, including a down payment of 300 million won, an annual salary of 900 million won and an option of 300 million won.

Lim Ki-young, who joined KIA as an FA compensation player in 2014, finished his military service and has been playing in KIA uniforms since 2017, has played in 285 games in 11 KBO league seasons with 51 wins, 59 losses, 4 saves, and 21 holds with an ERA of 4.80. This season, he has played 37 games with two wins, six losses and a 6.31 ERA with two holds.




Lim Ki-young said, `Most of all, I didn't think about moving to another club. Thank you to the club for offering good conditions, and I'm happy to hear the cheers of passionate KIA fans again. I felt sorry for the fans this season because I did not meet expectations, but I will prepare well from now on and become a player who helps the team win its second consecutive Korean Series title."

An official from KIA said, `Im Ki-young is a dedicated player who does his best in the position the team needs regardless of starting or bullpen. I expect it to be a big boost to my mound strength with my teammates next season."
