'History Maker' Son Heung-min (Tottenham) has written another history.

Son Heung-min scored one goal and two assists in the 16th round of the English Premier League (EPL) in 2024-2025 season against Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton, England on the 16th (Korea time). Son Heung-min, who started on the left wing, made an amazing performance in the first half alone, scoring three offensive points, and was replaced in the second half.

After preheating with a shot in the 10th minute of the first half, Son Heung-min scored with a sharp left-footed shot two minutes later. When the cross from the right fell forward after hitting the opponent's defender's head, he attempted a left-footed shot without delay. The shot to the near post shook the net as it was. Son Heung-min has been performing a roaring ceremony as if washing away his mental troubles. 6th goal of the league and 6th goal of the season.

Son Heung-min's light pass in the 25th minute led to help. Papesar scored with a shot following a bold breakthrough. With Tottenham's 67th career help, Tottenham tied legendary Darren Anderton with this help. Tottenham became the joint No. 1 assist in history.

Son Heung-min's sixth assist of the season. Son surpassed Anderton as the No. 1 assist in Tottenham's history. Tottenham also congratulated Son Heung-min, who became Tottenham's new king of help, through SNS.

Anderton is a legendary side midfielder who played for Tottenham from 1992 to 2004. He also played for England. He used a lot of activity and elaborate crosses as his main weapon.

Son Heung-min jumped to 17th place alone in EPL history. Above Son Heung-min are Andy Cole (73), Ashley Young, Thierry Henry (74), Teddy Sheringham and Christian Eriksen (76). At the current pace, there is a possibility that it will catch up within this year. Son Heung-min was replaced after the first half to ensure his physical strength.
