The Major League's official website, MLB.com , said on the 23rd (Korea time) 'The Mets agreed to a three-year, $75 million (about 109 billion won) contract with left-hander Manaea. The Mets have yet to make an official announcement,' the report said.
Mets owner Steve Cohen is said to have assets of 30 trillion won.
Earlier this month, the Mets showed off their financial power by recruiting Juan Soto, the strongest hitter in the Major League, for $765 million (about 1.1 trillion won).
Manaea's annual salary, which won 12 games this year, also rose sharply from $14 million (about 20 billion won) to $25 million (about 36 billion won).
Manaea signed a two-year, $28 million contract with the Mets ahead of the 2024 season.
Manaea was 12-6 with a 3.47 ERA in 181 ⅔ innings. Manaea declared the opt-out immediately without continuing the remaining one-year, $14 million contract.
The Mets also treated him according to his changed status. The Mets wrote a new contract at a price that increased by more than 1.5 times on average per year.

MLB.com says 'This is no coincidence. Manaea was inspired by Chris Sale's pitching form. The arm angle was greatly lowered, creating an angle that was difficult for batters to respond to. He also increased his raftery. He has grown into a pitcher with both quantity and quality.
