Britain's Sky Sports reported on the 17th (Korea time) 'Dubrowner said the future at Manchester City will be decided at the right time'
De Bruyne is considered one of the best midfielders of all time in the English Premier League (EPL). Born in 1991, even though he is now quite old, he is still considered to be at his best on the field. Since moving to Manchester City in 2015, he has been a key player, and the club has also achieved tremendous achievements with Derbroughner, including six EPL wins, two FA Cup wins, five League Cup wins and one European Champions League victory.
Even Derbroughner couldn't go against all the time. Dubrowner, who has had repeated injury problems since the 2022-2023 season, has missed many games this season due to injuries. Manchester City also considered renewing its contract when the injury did not recover easily.
It was a Dubrowner heading into the twilight with injuries, but there were still clubs who wanted him. In the previous summer transfer market, he extended his strong courtship in Saudi Arabia. At the time, De Bruyne said of the possibility of a transfer to Saudi Arabia "I think I can make a lot of money if I play for Saudi for two years. I played football for 15 years before that and maybe I haven't reached that amount yet. You have to think about what that means", sparking the possibility of a transfer.
Derbroughner chose to stay this summer. The reason why Derbroughner remained was family. As a result of a family meeting, it was reported that the transfer to Saudi Arabia could not be accepted due to children's educational problems. It's a huge decision considering the size of the amount that Derbroughner rejected. Dubrowner was offered a whopping £1 million a week (about 1.7 billion won) and a three-year salary of £156 million (about 280 billion won) by Saudi Arabia, but chose to stay in Manchester City instead of moving to Saudi Arabia.

In this situation, the fact that De Bruyne has not even been able to renew his contract with Manchester City is expected to increase speculation about his future. Sky Sports reported that although De Bruyne has spent nearly 10 years with Manchester City, he has made fewer regular appearances for the team over the past two seasons. Asked if he had any news about the future ahead of the final six months of the contract, he said he did not.
Speaking to Sky Sports, De Bruyne said "I haven't spoken to anyone at this time. It wasn't the right time, it wasn't the right moment. It's okay. I'm happy. I'm doing my job, everything will be done in time and I'll be fine"There has been no negotiation with Manchester City yet."
"It hasn't been a good situation lately. But I still think I can make a difference. If I could do that, I would be happy to play soccer. When the time comes when it gets harder and harder, we have to make a decision. I still like to play soccer, and I enjoy playing soccer. That's the most important thing for me,' he said, explaining that he is focusing on playing soccer itself right now.
Meanwhile, in addition to De Bruyne, Son Heung-min and Mohamed Salah, who were active in the EPL in the 2010s, have not yet signed a contract. It is expected that the future of these players will continue to receive great attention before next summer.
