Seoul SK Knights to grow into KBL representative team appointed by Jang Ji-tak

SK announced on the 16th that Vice Chairman Jang Ji-tak became the new head of the team in accordance with the regular personnel appointments in 2024.
After graduating from the Department of English and Literature at Korea University, Jang joined Shinsegi News Agency. He became a founding member of New Century VIXX in 1999 and connected with sports. For 25 years, he served as the head of the SK basketball team's operation team, secretary-general, and deputy head of the team. It transformed SK into the best box office club in the KBL with marketing featuring sports entertainment. Under former coach Moon Kyung-eun and Jeon Hee-chul, he led SK to two championship matches and three regular league wins, laying the foundation for prestigious clubs. Jang also served as the head of SK Telecom's sports planning team from 2022. He was in charge of sponsoring the Korea Fencing Association, sponsoring national teams and promising players, and overseeing golf tournaments. It is positively evaluated that Taegeuk Warriors laid the foundation for balanced sports development to acquire world-class skills with corporate support.
Jang said, `Based on the many achievements made by Oh Kyung-sik, the former general manager, we will listen to the fans' voices to grow SK into the representative KBL club. I will make it a happy club for all the players, their families and fans"I promised.
Meanwhile, Oh Kyung-sik, former general manager, will serve as vice chairman of the Korea Fencing Association.
