SK Jamil Warney is honored as MVP for 1st and 2nd rounds in a row



Foreign player Jamil Warnie of the men's professional basketball Seoul SK has been selected as the MVP of the second round of Sports Illustrated.

The Korean Basketball Federation (KBL) announced on the 24th that "Wony won 52 out of 106 valid votes in the second round MVP vote, beating Ulsan Hyundai Mobis' Lee Woo-seok (41 votes)."

As a result, Warney was honored with his second career round MVP award and second consecutive first-round MVP award.




Warney played for an average of 35 minutes and 3 seconds in nine games during the second round, scoring 27.2 points, continuing his position as the top scorer per game following the first round. It finished second to Changwon LG Asem Maray (14.2) with an average of 12.1 rebounds, and finished third with an average of 1.3 blocks.

Thanks to Warney's performance, SK won against all teams for the first time in 13 games on December 1, and finished the second round tied for first place (13 wins and 5 losses) with 6 wins and 3 losses in the second round.

Warnie, who was selected as the MVP of the Sports Illustrated 2nd round, will be awarded the MVP commemorative trophy and 2 million won in prize money. In addition, a round MVP product designed by Warney himself will be produced along with Sports Illustrated.
