The Korea University Football Federation held the 2024 Korea University Football Federation Awards
ceremony at Hotel Rivera in Seoul on the 17th. The College Football Federation was a place to encourage everyone who worked hard to develop college football and achieve good results throughout the year. At this awards ceremony, the main characters of the Best Director Award, Outstanding Leader Award, Outstanding Player Award, Best Group Award, and Fair Play Award were determined. The College Football Federation decided on the winners based on the results of four competitions organized by the federation this year (Chunchugye, two competitions for first and second graders). Based on the team's and individual performances during the season, the winners were determined through screening.
Choi Jae-young, director of Sunmoon University, won the best director award, the highest honor. Sunmoon University won the 19th Taebaek Mountain Range and the 60th Autumn University Football Federation held this year. In the 60th Spring University Football Federation match, Tongyeong was the runner-up. In addition, he topped the U League 12 in 2024 and the King of Kings.
Choi had the best time of the year. He took the helm of Sunmoon University in 2022, succeeding coach Ahn Ik-soo (former CEO of Ansan Greeners). Coach Choi won the senior competition for the first time this year. He was honored with another Best Director award following 2022. In addition, Choi led the U-21 under-21 selection team in May and experienced the Maurice LeBlo International Friendship Competition (Toulon Cup).
Choi said through Sports Chosun, `It was a special year. Thanks to the players, there were many good things. The Toulon Cup also widened the field of view. At that time, I prepared in a hurry and played, but I played fun soccer with the players. However, my mother died during the National Sports Festival last October. Still, I was fortunate to show my mother how I won the championship. It has been a happy and sad year.'

I'll go back to the beginning and work harder"I vowed. Sunmoon University will set up a base camp in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, on January 4th next year and start preparing for the season in earnest.
