Manchester United came from behind to win 2-1 in the 16th round of the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2024-2025 season at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England on the 16th (Korea time). Ruben Amorim presented United with a win in their first Manchester derby.

Diogo Dalot, who is from Portugal like Amorim, said after the Manchester City match that "If you want to succeed at this club, you have to suffer. If you are ready to join us, we will be a good team. Otherwise, there is no place for you."
And "The message was clear from the beginning. If you want to succeed, if you want to develop, you need to be accompanied by pain. It's the same in life as well as in football."
Amorim said the decision-making also reflects off-the-match issues such as players' attire and relationships with teammates. He believes that Diallo and Garnacho were not directly involved in the leak. However, the investigation is planned to continue.
