Korean women's soccer finished 2024 ranked 20th in the FIFA rankings.

In the women's world ranking announced by FIFA on the 13th (Korea time), South Korea ranked 20th with a ranking point of 1787.37 points. Ranking points decreased by 6.92 points from August, when the ranking was announced, and the ranking fell one place from 19th place. Among the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the team ranks fifth after Japan (8th), North Korea (9th), Australia (15th), and China (17th).

The highest FIFA ranking in Korean women's soccer history is 14th. After rising for the first time in December 2017, it remained in 14th place for six months from September 2018 to March 2019. However, it has rarely been able to raise its ranking since it fell to No. 20 in July 2019.

The women's national team ended its contract with former coach Colin Bell early in June. In October, he appointed Shin Sang-woo to reorganize the team. Under the new coach, they all suffered defeats in warm-up matches against Japan (0-4), Spain (0-5), and Canada (1-5). While the gap with the world has rarely been narrowed, it seems that it has not been able to stand out in Asia.

The first place was taken by the United States, which won the women's soccer gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Spain came in second, Germany came in third, and England came in fourth.
